Little Miniss
45 minutes flight time
Located 75 miles northeast of base camp, this deep 2 x 3 mile lake has very interesting structure making it a great lake for big fish. Little Miniss is all rock, no weeds, and has water depths over 100 feet in areas. There are several islands scattered across the lake giving it a lot of structure to hold big fish. There are no other cabins on Little Miniss and the only way in or out is by float plane.
Walleyes up to 30" or more and northern pike up to and over 40" are possible for any group and any time of year. We do not enforce the under 18" rule for walleyes on this lake because the average size walleye is over 18".
The older traditional style cabin has 2 bedrooms and 7 beds. There are 3 - 14 foot boats at the site equipped with 2-stroke 15 hp Mercury motors - all gas included, Boats have padded swivel boat seats with back rests.
Cabin amenities include:
- 1 propane refrigerator
- 4 burner gas stove with oven
- propane BBQ grill
- screened porch
- electric lighting
- hot and cold water
- shower
- large cooler to hold block ice (provided by camp at no charge)
- satellite phone communication with base camp
- propane fish cooker and shore lunch pan for outside fish frying.
To ensure quality fishing for years to come, all northern pike 27 1/2" must be released. You are allowed up to 4 walleyes - no more than one walleye over 18" per person.
