Fawcett Lake
50 minutes flight time
Fawcett is a 3 x 4 mile lake located 98 miles north of our base camp. It is on the Cat river system and joins directly into Gull lakes and Zionz Lake. You can fish all three lakes in the same day. (albeit a long day!) It has rapids, rocky points, islands and weed beds.
Fawcett is one of our top lakes for walleye and northern pike fishing. Great quantity and quality of both species make this lake one of the best in northern Ontario. They even catch the occasional lake trout at Fawcett in the springtime.
The cabin has 3 bedrooms, 7 beds, futon style couch, fully equipped kitchen and a walkway going from the dock to the cabin.
There are 4 - 14 foot boats at the site equipped with 2-stroke 15 hp Mercury motors - all gas included, Boats have padded swivel boat seats with back rests.
Cabin amenities include:
- 2 propane refrigerators
- 4 burner gas stove with oven
- propane BBQ grill
- screened porch
- electric lighting
- hot and cold water
- indoor shower
- large cooler to hold block ice (provided by camp at no charge)
- satellite phone communication with base camp
- screened in fish cleaning house
- propane fish cooker and shore lunch pan for outside fish frying.
To ensure quality fishing for years to come, all walleyes over 18" must be released & all northern pike over 27 1/2" must be released.
